Commissioning an original artwork is a personal and collaborative experience. Whether inspired by a person, place, memory, or story, each commission is developed through conversation and created as a work that is distinctly your own.

The A–B–C Commission Process

A — Align

Every commission begins with a conversation. We explore your vision, story, reference materials, preferred medium, dimensions, budget, intended setting, and desired timeline. You do not need to have every detail decided—this stage is about discovering the right creative direction together.

B — Book

Following the initial conversation, you will receive a tailored proposal outlining the agreed concept, medium, scale, price, and anticipated schedule. Your commission is officially booked when the agreement is signed and the required deposit is received.

C — Create

McKlveen brings the work to life, with progress updates provided at agreed stages. Once the artwork is complete, final payment and arrangements for collection, delivery, or insured shipping are confirmed.

Begin a Commission

To begin, share a little about the person, place, memory, or idea you would like the artwork to capture. Reference photographs are welcome, but a fully developed concept is not required.

Each inquiry is considered individually according to its creative scope and studio availability.
