Pal Tiya, Sweetgum balls and Sweetgum sapling and resin
17” X 12” X 28” (weighs 43lbs)
The fruit of the Sweetgum tree - those spiky gumballs – are usually raked away. Instead, these tiny beings have swarmed together to save a baby sapling. This sculpture demonstrates the power of the collective and what is possible if we all stick together. Can be displayed inside or out – emerging from leaf litter or grass or on a plinth.
